Heather Thomson: MVP of the Season 5 Reunion
Despite the ratings, The Real Housewives of New York had a very successful season as Bravo revamped the franchise.
Gone were the ugly, petty, twisted storylines that made Season 4 so hard to watch: no Jill Zarin and her special brand of Jillusion, no desperation as seen so clearly in Alex McCord and Simon van Kempen, no stuck-on- stupid from Kelly Bensimon, and no Cindy Who?
Instead, we get the brilliant Carole Radziwill, the voice of reason Heather Thomson and the just the right amount of crazy for drama Aviva Drescher, along with her sex maniac overdosed-on-Viagra father George Teichner.
Combined with our resident crazy Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan and Luann de Lesseps, this season of the Real Housewives of New York was as interesting as the first seasons of the Real Housewives of Orange County.
And who bitched the most about ratings all season anyway?
- Jill Zarin for one, thinking low ratings would bring her back
- Alex McCord with her Vlog on Rumorfix:
Bullied by Bravo: Alex Mc Cord
- And another blog whose the main subject matter has been RHONY season 5 ratings…not so mysterious, in fact Wendy Williams once called out the author on her show:
Along with an occasional post by Rob Shuter at Huffington Post ( recognize the circle of friends ?)
Keep the present cast, Bravo, we want to see more!
The Real Housewives of New York “lost footage” episode will air Monday on Bravo TV.
