Fifteen months after being fired by Bravo TV for helping give the viewer a dark, ugly Season 4, with her rampantly running delusions of grandeur and her mean, twisted soul, the woman who gave us Amazon-gate won’t go away. But that’s not what famewhores do, is it?
Now Andy Cohen has asked her back to critique Season 5, after the Reunion Part 2 next Monday.
from the New York Daily News:
It’s been a little over a year since Bravo fired Jill Zarin from “Real Housewives of New York City,” but she’s still fightin’ mad.
And the star who anchored one of TV’s more successful reality shows for four years is ready to settle matters with her old boss.
Then she’ll be looking to do a new show.
“I feel like they killed me off and I didn’t get to say goodbye,” Zarin told Confidenti@l yesterday as she readied to face off with Andy Cohen at the taping of “Watch What Happens Live,” to air next Monday.
“I’m really grateful” to go on Cohen’s show, “even though it’s 15 months overdue,” Zarin says, adding, “I’m going to ask him why I was fired.”
Zarin says she’s been told poor focus-group testing for the season four “Housewives,” reunion, which she blames on Bravo’s editing, was one reason.
No Jill, it wasn’t the editing….you are a bitch!
She adds, “I think it’s also a signal to other cast member on other shows — don’t get greedy about money. We’ll fire anybody. No one’s too big for their show.”
It’s not like the 48-year-old wife of fabric industry big shot has been sitting still.
But where Zarin really wants to be — and where she says her “more than a million social media followers” want her to be — is back on TV, starring in a show of her own.
Many of Jill’s followers are bought, there are hundreds of people blocked by Jill Zarin on twitter; including @blckdbyjillzarin!
Zarin says other networks came calling after “Real Housewives” divorced her, but she “wasn’t ready” then.
“I was licking my wounds and needed to retreat,” Zarin says. “It really affected me, but now I’m strong and ready to go back and share my life with America.”
What would the show be about? “Me,” she laughs, saying she wants to do a reality show with her family that will be “funny like a ‘Seinfeld’ or ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ kind of show. Not like ‘Housewives.
The problem with that? She’s not funny, or even mildly amusing, nor is any member of her family. Her daughter, Ally Shapiro, is downright depressing.
Delusion has a face. Expect Jill Zarin “news” all week. It’s hardly her first media rampage.
Watch What Happens Live with Jill will air next Monday, following the Real Housewives of New York Reunion part 2 on Bravo TV.
