Several months ago, I began following Angela Stanton on Twitter, because she was giving out hints and suggestions that Phaedra Parks of the Real Housewives of Atlanta was involved in Apollo Nida’s criminal activities. Angela even posted various unreadable papers on twitter to seemingly prove her point, and claimed she was writing a tell-all book.
I eventually stopped following her because she seemed mentally unstable. If you know Twitter, you know there are many crazies posting all manner of garbage. I classified her as one of those.
Well, this story is getting “legs”, as they say in the news business. Sister2Sister is carrying it, and some bloggers are carrying it like it’s the truth. The only thing I got from Angela’s ranting’s on twitter was that Phaedra lost her case. Many convicts take their anger out on the attorney, this is not news.
Phaedra Parks, the well-mannered Southern belle of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” who defends criminals for a living, is being accused of actually being one herself.
Angela Stanton, who describes herself as a former friend of Phaedra’s, alleges that Phaedra and hubby Apollo were the masterminds behind a scheme involving “fraudulent insurance checks.”
“I was the one that would go into the bank with the identification, deposit the check and then go back in the bank and withdraw the money,” Angela told Vibe.com.
As a result of the criminal enterprise, Angela was sentenced to four months in jail.
That didn’t stop the ball from rolling, though. Upon her release, Angela said she rejoined Phaedra, Apollo and his brother Everett and continued their illegal activities.
However, she was once again apprehended by authorities, and this time she was seven months pregnant. She and Everett were both sent to jail, she said.
According to Angela, Phaedra was already an attorney at this time, and she believed Phaedra would put that degree to work on her behalf.
“Once I was incarcerated, the plan and the agreement was always that she would always represent all of us if we ever got in any trouble, and that’s what I expected,” Angela said. “I expected her to represent me. I expected her to look out for me. I expected her to look out for my children if something were to happen. I expected her to do everything she said she was going to do because I did everything that I said I was going to do,” Angela said.
Phaedra explained to the “RHOA” audience that she and Apollo, whose conviction is no secret, had a relationship prior to the reunion that led to their eventual marriage; however, there was never much explanation offered about the nature of it.
As this story gets around, Phaedra will be forced to address it. She faces disbarment if there is an investigation.

I do remember Phaedra once saying that she knew Apollo before he went to jail–I think she might have said they went to college together, but that’s weird considering the large age difference.
I was really curious what you though about this supposed asinine story…I saw it a few days ago and was just waiting for you to post something about it…I think it seems like a totally fabricated story from a bitter person, but if there is any truth to this and it comes to light…YIKES is all I have to say, Phaedra will have some splaining er explaining to do!
