Despite the fact that someone on twitter stated I should rename my blog “I Love Bethenny Frankel”,  I think I’m somewhat objective about these reality celebrities. I neither love nor hate any of them, I reserve real life emotions for real life.  I just report on what they do.

’s the other side of Bethenny’s Lost at Sea story, written by Ilana Angel at Jewish Journal

This is an excerpt:

Tim Russell, the man who was called out to Bethenny’s boat, called me and we talked about it. He read a blog I wrote about Bethenny’s story and he got in touch to help set the record straight. We spoke yesterday and he was forthcoming, honest and had no agenda, other than to tell the truth.

Mr. Russell has worked on the water for 40 years. He possesses an easy and open personality, and an awesome accent. His wife is a schoolteacher, and they are real people who work hard to make a living. They are authentic and I feel bad for him that he is caught up in this mess.

It’s fascinating that all of her claims are easily proven to be lies because it’s all public record. That there is not a massive outcry from her fans demanding to know why she has lied to them is interesting. Stop drinking the Kool-Aid! It is laced with Sodium Benzoate.

What do you think?

Eh. Bethanny wasn’t “scared” she was just annoyed. As viewers we were lead to beleive their 10 hour trip became like 22? If I was on a boat that long I’d be annoyed too.
She missed her daughter, she was “trapped” on the boat & her husband was puking…not exactly a fun trip. Therapy or not.

Bethenny lied, and her fans know it but don’t care. Anyone who dares to tell that story is accused of being Jill Zarin. I used to read Jill’s Facebook page, and she has a full life and doesn’t obsess about Bethenny the way Bethenny’s fans obsess about Jill. Anyway, back to the point…this story about her being lost at sea is obviously bunk, and Bravo should be ashamed of themselves for promoting it as truth. I will avoid Bravo from now on. Can’t believe Bethenny continues to have her own show with fans. She’s vile.

Bethenny You in danger gurl.LOL. Do not believe this for a second. Great publicity tool though. Kudos for that.

As one very familiar with sailing, I can say with confidence the USCG no longer tows boats in if there is no imminent danger. They send a tow service. If danger was an issue, they would have removed the passengers from the boat. How big is a big wave? If you’re in a 47 footer for example, a 5-6′ wave is not a big deal unless it hits you broadside. That said, if you have no familiarity with the ocean, any wave might scare you. GPS is a great tool, but it doesn’t replace chart reading and navigation. Any electronic device can go bad at any time. The captain should have A) known this to begin with and B) had the skills to navigate using the compass, chart and a pencil.

I read another article which called the coast guard and the coast guard gave this journalist (not a hate blogger) a direct quote stating that Bethenny’s boat was not in danger nor was there a large wave. They stated that the captain was disoriented and they were told that they had instrument failure. The coast guard assured the captain they were not in danger and they would send another boat to get them back on course. Now, as to why Bethenny remained scared once the coast guard assured them of not being in danger and help was on the way, well, is anyone’s guess but everyone is entitled to their level of fright. I do believe the coast guard quote but then again I am sure Bethenny fans will swear the coast guard is under Jill Zarin’s nasty reach or the journalist is someone on her payroll and they went against their ethics because if Bethenny says there was a large wave then by golly it is the GOSPEL truth.

Loving your opinions. It does seem to be another hate blog.

Is this blogger a friend of Jill’s? This woman’s blog is not something I read but someone posted another hate filled blog by her against Beth on a Bravo board (I think regarding this trip). Why so much hate? Are people that jealous of a successful woman? Damn, more power to Beth!

I have no idea what is the truth, but I do know one thing.

Ilana has dogged Bethenny for years. She quite obviously has no respect for her and appears to truly hate her. I can’t trust her reporting simply because of the bias she has shown. There is never any degree of objectivity in any report she does on Bethenny.

I think that old saw “Every story has three sides. Yours, mine and the truth” applies here. Bethenny could very easily have exaggerated what happened. She certainly appeared to be sincerely scared when she finally got on twitter after they got back.

My question is – why should we automatically assume that the man who was sent after them is telling the truth? We don’t know him from a hole in the wall. Could he not be looking for his fifteen minutes of fame or some cash? Who knows?

What mess is he caught up in? I don’t get it. Whatever it is I’m certain Beth did nothing wrong, I love her and her entertaining show!
