Proving age, high heels, alcohol and dancing on tables don’t mix, LuAnn de Lesseps of the Real Housewives of New York took a tumble off a tabletop last night. What’s funnier, that fact that this arbiter of good manners and class took a drunken fall, or the fact that the New York Post says she’s “surviving”, after the purge over at Bravo?

Surviving “Housewife” LuAnn de Lesseps went down for the countess after dancing on a table. The reality star and self-proclaimed manners specialist tumbled, Snooki-style, off a tabletop at ex-model Debbie Loefflers birthday at uptown restaurant Desmond’s when she busted an over-exuberant move to Katy Perry’s “Last Friday Night.” The countess, who survived the New York housewives cull which saw Jill Zarin, Kelly Bensimon and Alex McCord axed, cut her knee at the bash where comic pals Linda Smith, Josh Spear, Vince August, Bill McCuddy and Carolines on Broadway owner Caroline Hirsch mixed.

I feel that the producers are interested in the dynamics between this poser and the new housewives. Can you imagine her upgrading the manners of Carole Radziwill.

There are some LEGENDARY drunken mess stories in Page Six regarding LuAnn from a few years ago. Her accusing Ramona of being one was always a bit much.
What chapter was this in the etiquette book? I think they kept her solely to make her the new villain. Jill got too evil. She will have a razor thin line to walk.
Somehow this story doesn’t surprise me in the least as I never thought Lulu had any class. Don’t 20 year old’s act like this?
I also have no idea why Bravo would keep her and her fake French boyfriend and let Alex go.
Her children must be so proud.
Only thing that would make this story better was if she had fallen on her head. Then, maybe, she would have some humility, humbleness, and down to earthness (are these even words?) knocked into that overblown egotistical head of hers. Know this sounds harsh but she irks me about as much as PS from MM. And I’m still trying to figure out why she was “kept” and Alex was let go!
I think Simon was a factor in the letting go of Alex. I think there is a very fine line between Alex and Luann when it comes to who is more disliked. I, personally, like Alex and would’ve been fine with Luann leaving. She was so cringe-worthy this season, I actually thought she was worse than Jill.
