Vegas Bash 2011: BB’s Mr. Handsomfied – Lawon Exum

Big Brother 13 watchers know him as Mr. Handsomfied with an eclectic wardrobe. Live feeders recognize him as the trash bag wedding pastor. Whether you loved, hated or had no opinion of this man, Lawon Exum definitely made his presence known on the show. Carrying the weight of what may be considered the biggest mastermind blunder in BB history, Lawon faces the music without regret.

When you meet Lawon in person, he comes across as a very gentle soul. Comfortable in his own skin, he quietly jokes and isn’t afraid to chuckle at himself. When asked to describe his reaction to the veterans entering the house he was surprised but it didn’t change his game plan.

“My strategy was to go in and play a great social game and stay under the radar for as long as I could and I did, until I opened my mouth to be a pawn.”

Lawon’s decision to offer himself up for possible eviction was not based on altruism.

“I wasn’t the only one who thought there’d be super powers. Everybody did. That was our first impression, to expect the unexpected on the show.”

While everyone may have considered the possibility of a coup d’etat, it was his bravado that Lawon believes got him ousted.

“I said that if I come back in I’m going after you, you, you and you and I think that hurt. My mouth hurt me. I should have just shut up. I shoulda just kept quiet.”

Lawon would jump at another opportunity to be in the Big Brother house. He would return with a new plan along with the wisdom only veteran players have in their arsenal. For example, by the time he realized others could help him in the name that houseguest challenge that landed Brendon a second shot, it was too late. He now realizes everything is fair play unless and until Big Brother tells you differently.

Since leaving the house, Lawon has enjoyed a warm reception from his fan base.

“I’m very proud. I’ve had positive feedback since I’ve been out of the house, so it’s all good.”

Now days, Lawon is moving forward in the world of social media. He is creating a website, and is even contemplating a woman’s clothing line. Though $500,000 would have been great start up capital, he’s undeterred. Who knows? Maybe he’ll get another chance to win it all. On Big Brother, expect the unexpected.
