Not so fast!
Hours after The Huffington Post reported Jill Zarin and her fellow Real Housewives of New York City cast members Cindy Barshop, Kelly Bensimon and Alex McCord would be axed from the Bravo hit’s upcoming fifth season, Zarin is setting the record straight.
"Jill has not been fired from The Real Housewives of New York City. The truth is that Jill is still in discussions with Bravo for season 5 and hasn’t made a final decision about returning to the show," a rep for the 47-year-old reality star told Us Weekly Thursday afternoon.
Should the internet casting rumors be true, LuAnn de Lesseps, Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan would be the only season 4 cast members to remain on the series, with additional new women being added to the mix at a later date.
Singer is reportedly in the middle of negotiating a new contract, while a Huffington Post source says McCord and Bensimon were notified by the network Thursday morning that pink slips would be coming their way.

Be a great pity if Jill Zarin was off the next series. Not hated here, she is about the only real person in this show.
LuAnn, European nobility are 2 a penny, as are mediocre singers. Kelly, definitely something wrong upstairs. Ramona, very good for 54 but not so good if act same way when 64. Alex, like her but Simon wellllll enough said, but think he needs a rest eyes look so very tired. Sonja , one of a kind spends spends spends but in major debt . That seems to apply to most countries now. Do think that her dresses could be a tad higher in the bosom area. Love Real Housewives but do not change all of them. Can’t wait for the next series.
Pleeeze, GET RID OF WACKO KELLY…I cant take the craziness of this sub-human. She contradicts herself at every turn..she is definitley “loopy”, she needs help…as for COUNTESS NOBODY..even I can go BUY a title, they cost anything from $1000- $5000 so get rid of MISS TOFFY NOSE, she wdnt know manners if they hit her in the mouth.!!! Keep Alex, Ramona and yes even Jill, but maybe we need some “new” pple to make this the show it was before stupid kelly arrived….
Oh no! Alex is getting a pinkslip?! She’s my fav NYC housewife! You could tell, the way Andy Cohen, allowed the ‘mean girls’ to relentlessly attack her during the 2-pt. reunion shows that he personally doesn’t like Alex.
Whoever sits farthest from Andy on the couches may be going. I think his dislike was more for Simon than Alex, IMO.
Jill Zarin the most hated Real Housewife? That’s arguable. She has a lot of competition, including, but not limited to, Danielle and Teresa of RHONJ, Camille of RHOBH, Vicki of RHOOC and Michaele of RHODC.
