Within days of the reports about Bethenny Frankel’s SkinnyGirl Margarita being pulled from the shelves of Whole Foods because it contains sodium benzoate as a preservative, comes a class action lawsuit against Beam, the distributors that bought the SkinnyGirl brand from Bethenny Frankel.

Bethenny Frankel herself is not being personally sued.

The suit was brought by a woman in Southern California, but it’s not an individual lawsuit.

Does this mean, for example,  since I once bought Skinny Girl Margarita at Whole Foods, I’m entitled to damages?

Seems this lawsuit may be frivolous, what do you think?

  1.

Good timing that Frankel sold her Skinny Girl to Beam! The reviews on it are mostly bad and the latest sales have tanked!

  2.

I think it’s ridiculous, but if I remember correctly, I read this weekend they’re going to change the wording to “all natural flavors.”

  3.

I think they should drop the “all natural” from the label. Is alcohol natural?
