Jordan7s

Jordan

This episode the Power of Veto is up for grabs. Both Shelly and Adam are on the block and realize they need to win this gold cup, as the number of players is dwindling and it’s no longer easy to stay in cloud cover. Dani decides to B**** slap Adam by telling him pawns don’t go home right away, but they do go home eventually. Gee, thanks Dani. At least she smiled as she said it.

In the Candy room, Jordan once again calls a quasi house meeting. Seems Shelly learned from Porsche that Rachel declared Shelly made a final three deal with Brenchel. Porsche is summoned and recites what Rachel told her. Shelly offered up a deal, but Rachel didn’t take it because she isn’t sure she can trust the married mom of one. Shelly protests vehemently, but as we saw last episode, Shelly is pretty much willing to say whatever is necessary to garner favor and continue on her journey to $500K. Shelly attempts to browbeat Rachel, who refuses to budge. Jordan is completely confused at this juncture. Shelly has promised to get JeJo to the end. On the other hand, Rachel has never lied to Jordan. What’s a girl to think?

We head to the veto competition and the lucky ducks chosen are Jordan, Jeff and Kalia, leaving Brenchel out in the cold. Dani doesn’t hide her glee. If either of the noms win, she has the chance to backdoor Brendon. She giggles delightedly at this thought.

At the break the America Votes in announced. What shall the have not’s get this week? Beets and bologna, dates and durian, or hard boiled eggs and jalapenos? Tasty choices for sure. I really wish they’d drop this part of the schtick.

The POV competition begins. The group will be playing the corn hole game. The player with the lowest score wins. There are prizes to be won. Jeff isn’t sure winning the game would be advantageous. He’s not happy at the notion of having to decide to save Shelly, thereby putting Brenchel at risk.

Shelly is first out and picks up her bucket prize. Inside is the veto medallion. Jordan is out next and wins 24 hrs of solitary confinement and a phone call home. She really wants to talk to her mom, but realizes Shelly is desperately missing her daughter, so she trades off with Shelly. Shelly is grateful to the point of tears. Kalia is knocked out next and wins a vacation to the Caribbean. She’s excited and no one is going to pry it from her warm, constantly napping hands. Daniele is eliminated next and wins a veto ticket. She will be automatically playing in the POV next week. She gives Kalia a sideward glance as if to say, I think I’ll trade, but decides against it. Being able to play in the POV is more important. We’re down to Jeff and Adam. Jeff takes second place and $5K. Adam gets the humilitard and trades it with Jordan for the POV. Naturally Brenchel are unhappy with this outcome. Brendon may see the same fate as other returning players before him. Back in only to be backdoored at the next opportunity. Adam breathes easier.

Rachel offers Brendon to put herself on the block, but he dismisses the notion. He knows Dani is gunning for him and wants Rachel to take a chill pill and just let it happen. Jeff and Dani chat and the HOH promises JeJo are safe for the week. As much as Jeff likes Brendon and can’t imagine spending another week with a weeping Rachel, he sees the wisdom of sending Brendon out the door.

Shelly spends her time bawling in the DR knowing in 24 hours she’ll be on the phone speaking with her family. Jordan dons her humilitard and it’s actually kind of cute. A Jolly green giant green unitard, pink slippers and tutu, complete with a spinner beanie. The front of her outfit says, “I’m with stupid,” with an arrow pointing upward and the back says, “kick me.” Jordan loves her look and takes it all with a smile. At least her fanny is covered.

Shelly3s

Shelly

Shelly gets her phone call home and tries to hold it together so not to upset her daughter. Fat chance. In the end, mom, dad and baby are all in tears. Love or hate the players, being separated from one’s family must be torturous. The gang shows up to the HN room to spring Shelly and she’s as happy as a wallowing piglet.

Back in the HOH room, Brenchel try one more time to secure a deal with Dani. She says she’ll think about back dooring Jeff, but the look on Brendon’s s face tells the tale. At least he’ll get first pick of the bedrooms in the jury house and a private bathroom for a week, unless of course he can gather enough votes and send Shelly packing. Ah, but Shelly is smart. She hasn’t been playing both sides of the field for nothing. She’s still trusted at this point, although her time as everybody’s friend may be coming to a close.

At the POV nomination ceremony, Adam takes himself out of the running and Dani puts Brendon in his place. She jokingly calls him the zombie that just won’t die. Shelly’s glad, but not confidant Brendon won’t pull some kind of magic trick. We are spared a crying jag ala Rachel (for today anyway) and Dani tap dances up the spiral staircase anticipating the red head’s demise next week.

Will Dani get what she wants? Will Brendon finally say adios and head off into the sunset? Will Rachel sharpen her nails and come back guns blazing? Could JeJo drop their alliance with Shelly and vote to keep the stronger competitor in the game?

So many questions – only one day to wait and find out.
