The money woes keep piling up for Sonja Morgan of the Real Housewives of New York. She may have no choice but to sell her home, partly because ex-husband John Adams Morgan, descendant of original gangsta’ JP Morgan, is refusing to pay her all see is owed in the divorce settlement.These old money types take no prisoners!

Sonja is devastated, she’s considering the house gone already,” says our source. “She wants to sell it back to her ex husband, so she can make that money off it and her daughter can live there, but he’s refusing. She wants to keep it for her daughter, but it seems she’ll have to sell it and lose it altogether. She needs the money because he’s not giving her a cent more and she’s now more than $7 million in the hole. She’s in denial, it’s only just started to hit her how much trouble she’s in. She makes $275,000 a year on Housewives, which would be good for anyone else but it won’t save her.”Asked whether she might sell her $6 million Upper East Side town house, Morgan said, “I’m not thinking like that, but of course it’s scary.”
On Thursday’s “Housewives,” she said she was “heartbroken” about the bankruptcy. Her current lawyer, Kevin Nash, said: “We’ll have to re-evaluate our options. This (bankruptcy) case is continuing, and hopefully we’ll have a successful conclusion.”
The bankrupt reality vixen, who is locked in a bitter court battle with her 80-year-old ex-husband, John Adams Morgan, owes Sonja a $3 million lump-sum divorce judgment and over $300,000 in alimony, may be forced to sell off her gorgeous $6 million New York City townhouse in order to gain some cash.
He is fighting against handing over any more money to his ex because he claims he was forced to pay more than was listed in his prenup.
I have to wonder whether John Adams Morgan (JAM) is a bit of a sociopath. I guarantee there was a clause in the pre/ante nup that gave Sonja more benefits once she reached the 10 year mark – so JAM divorced her at 9 years. We know JAM tipped so poorly at the restaurant Sonja was working at when she first met him that he was always seated towards the back. Hmmmm She had to realize JAM would be equally stingy in a divorce situation and should have known JAM would eventually divorce her because 3 more wives came/went before her. She should have spoken to those women to see what her future would hold with him instead of a psychic. But what other choices did Sonja have? Who of us wouldn’t have married JAM for alleged “security”? Sonja says she brought the “friends/family” and JAM brought the yacht/party homes. Duh….that’s allowing all manner of women access to your husband – not that he wouldn’t be able to find women on his own elsewhere. Men are creatures of opportunity. Look at the beast Schwarzenegger hooked up with. It does seem somewhat spiteful that JAM served her with divorce papers right after she entered the deal with that film co. who just got a $7 mill judgment against her. And by all accounts, she seems like a genuinely nice person. So, why would he do that to her? Either JAM was slowly becoming more and more disgusted with her as time passed (like the Kelsey/Camille Grammar split) – or – he just decided he didn’t want to hit the 10 yr mark and pay more money. The other question is where was she getting the money to enter into deals with film companies? Maybe that was irritating JAM. All I can say is Sonja needs to get competent legal counsel before entering into any more “deals”. Final thing: JAM is in no position to complain about Sonja taking the housewives gig. It would appear that he could easily have helped her out of the $7 mill jam, etc. and remained friends with her for the sake of their child. Because of him, Sonja was in no position to refuse the housewives offer. Makes me wonder if maybe JAM isn’t really that wealthy ;o)

HY DID SONJA MARRY SUCH AN OLDER MAN IF IT WAS NOT FOR THE MONEY? sHE SIGNED THE PE NUP SHE KNEW WHAT TO EXPECT MAYBE IF SHE DID NOT SELL HER SOLD AND HER ASS ON HOUSEWIFES AND LIVED A MORE CONSERVATIVE RESPECTFUL LIFE THAT FOCUSED ON BEING A DOTTING MOTHER TO HIS CHILD HE WOULD HAVE BEEN MORE WILLLING TO HELP. hER BEHAVIOR MUST HAVE OLD jp rOLLING. sONJA BEJAVIOR IS THAT OF A MISTRESS NOT OF A MRS. MORGAN!
