Truth is stranger than fiction with the Real Housewives of New York . Through a series of emails and direct twitter messages, I have learned about some of the behind the scenes maneuverings between Jill Zarin and Simon van Kempen.
Hate begets hate.
As the hate blogger has alienated some of the followers, they have been more than willing to betray her. Betrayal? Unlike most websites, you must agree with the blogger or you are banned and disrespected by a rabid horde of followers. Feelings are hurt. Anger takes over. Some have started blogs just to dispute what has happened on the hate blog…..you know how it goes with hate.
Well folks, it turns out the hate blogger was willing to stop hating Jill Zarin and change the name of her blog…..for a price. Proof? According to this email, obtained from an ex-follower;
Simon just DM’d me a few times and asked that if he set up a meeting between Jill and me while she was in town, would I keep an open mind? He asked if I would be able to go to Jill’s book signing (it is in a suburb just 15 min from me)
I told him I will keep an open mind, of course, and that I would absolutely give her the benefit of the doubt if she’s willing to talk to me. Simon hinted that things have drastically changed between Alex and Jill….PLEASE this is TOP SECRET! He said that we viewers have to remember that the last we saw of Jill was her attacking Alex at the reunion but that so much has happened since then. We had seen pretty good evidence on Twitter that Jill and Alex have at least called a truce, and may have even become friends, Simon wants to set up a meeting, he was going to contact her and get back to me, he told me to “stand by”. OMG LMAO this is so great!
Who was brokering the meeting? The very person denying a relationship with the blogger. This email also calls into question the animosity we are seeing between Simon and Jill this season. What’s real?
The deal fell through, btw, and it is unknown whether or not the meeting took place, back in December.

It appears on the show that the only issue was what Simon was tweeting. That is not entirely accurate. Simon has hosted a person who has stalked me at my home and office, in their home for one of the boy’s birthday parties. He knew exactly who she was, as he met her through another person who has seriously threatened my family to the point we had to call the police and postal service security. For them to deny it now is simply ridiculous as there is a paper trail a mile long thanks to my cyber assistants. As usual Bobby’s instincts were right. My cyber assistants later discovered that Alex actually attended my anti-bullying luncheon the day after she and Simon entertained someone they knew to be my stalker, in their home. Not someone who just stalked me, but was also accused of stalking a former employee of hers. How would you feel?
Since Jill Zarin is such a despicable person, it’s too bad she’s correct, but she is. Everything snow-balled out of control and these people went too far.

One ex-follower sent Jill Zarin an email to warn her,thinking this behavior was going too far. Jill’s response;

OMG! NO…of course not.My virtual assistant was looking into it. I PROMISE your identity is confidential. I am so grateful to you for caring about me. I am forwarding this to asst. to talk to you and tell you exactly what they did. I am sure they scared her. I suggested you stop reading the hate blog.. She is hateful. Sure, I snark on Jill Zarin, as many bloggers do. She made herself an easy target last season, with her constant attacks on Bethenny Frankel and Alex McCord. I do believe she was instrumental in Simon losing his job. But if all this is true,there is a line. Simon tweeted today;
1) I didn’t know of her allegations until after they’d been here. 2) I don’t randomly ask people who come to our home “Do you or did you stalk Jill Zarin” 3) How did this person allegedly stalk her & where r the police complaint/charges? RT @mimsypop: @SimonvanKempen @mccordalex any response that you invited @Jillzarin stalker to bday party? I call bs but would like to hear ur take.
This was a tough article to write, because I have met Simon and Alex and really like them. The irony of it all is this will not effect Bravo’s decision on who will be rehired for Season 5. By the editing of ‘Your Tweeting Heart’, and, more importantly, taking Jill’s suggestion to have a poll of ‘hottest husband. Seems Alex McCord is out, Jill Zarin will still be in.

Well Carrie….not only is this show doomed…but with Obama followers such as yourself…our Country is doomed as well.

I believe it. The posters at that site are full on crazy-reminds me of the people who say Obama wasn’t born in US.
I think you are way off base on what happened. Getting your info from Jill Zarin (or her cronies) is not reliable.
I forgot to add in my first comment that I think Jill only wanted to be friends with Simon/Alex because she thought they could influence the blogger from IHJZ to shut the blog down or change the blog’s name. Jill used them and she didn’t get what she wanted. Jill has no interest in being friends with them because she thinks that they are beneath her. Jill and Simon are cut from the same claw. They are both desperate, opportunistic users.
After Alex is fired from the NY Housewives, where will she end up? It won’t be on Bethenny’s show. Simon blew that by dissing her on Twitter. How many more opportunities will Simon blow for Alex? How many more people will Simon alienate? Simon and Jill deserve each other, they are a match made in hell.I wish the both of them would go to hell so I don’t have to see or hear from them again.
I read IHJZ occasionally and I used to scroll past most of Wall Street Lady’s comments because she bored me. I didn’t care for her at all but I do not think she is a stalker. Jill is exaggerating like she usually does. For example, she claimed that Mario shoved her but a week before she said that he yelled at her. When Jill’s lips are moving, she is lying.
In my opinion, Simon isn’t much better than Jill. He is a desperate opportunist and he is way too involved with the NY Housewives. I think he wants to be on the show more than Alex does. I’m not surprised at all that he got caught in a lie about being involved with IHJZ. Why is he so involved with bloggers? He’s not a Housewife.I actually like Alex but Simon has destroyed her chances of being likable and his behavior may be the cause of her not being invited back next season.
I agree with Meg, ALL of the NY Housewives should be fired. The show is a trainwreck and it isn’t watchable anymore. I think Jill ruined the show with all of her personal agendas and it can’t be saved without a drastic cast overhaul.

Everything you are writing is second, third or 4th hand information. Also, since Jill has ridiculously defined “cyberbullying” by back and forth bickering, I’d be curious to know what the “stalker” did or didn’t do. I find the people who behave underhandedly ( ex.Susan Saunders) are very quick to point out and exaggerate other people’s transgressions to distract attention from their own behavior.
I find it really interesting that she has CYPER ASSISTANTS in the plural. Meaning she must spend a lot of time and effort maneuvering around the web looking for trouble.
They all behave badly, but I’m tired to this victimization.
