They may indeed peck this franchise into non-existence. As they jockey for position now that Bethenny Frankel is gone, no one emerges as the truthful, grounded, reality- based winner in the pecking order contest.
Bravo postponed the premiere of the New York Housewives to re-edit a boring season. This is the new version?
Ramona Singer may be attempting to promote her Ramona Pinot Grigio by her portrayal of a demanding, mean drunk. Not working. Cindy Barshop apparently didn’t screen the Scary Island episodes from last season before thinking she could talk to Kelly Bensimon about anything, especially keeping a secret. Lies caught on camera are never good, and Ramona truly handled her. Not a good addition to the franchise, so far.
The exposure of school-age children to reality TV is always a bad idea, Alex McCord and Simon van Kempen. I won’t contribute to the discussion of their child, but they did ask for it. Now that Simon “works from home”, their desperation is palpable. Desperate is never pretty. Or interesting.
Luann de Lesseps flutters in and out with her obnoxious little observations and the backstabbing Cat Ommanney called her out on last week on Watch What Happens, Live!
Sonja Morgan is showing her true colors this season. How did Ramona become the Queen Bee, to be paid homage to? Sonja Tremont from upstate New York spent a little too much time drinking the Morgan kool-aid, before losing it all in bankruptcy. The filing of her bankruptcy petition was during filming, (November 17) which may explain some of her stressed out behavior. Where is she in the pecking order?
Jill Zarin returns from her hideout trip to Australia, same old Jill with her revisionist history, pretends to make amends with Alex, who pretends to believe her. Good question; Did Simon lose his job as Manager of the Hotel Chandler because of Jill Zarin’s mouth? Hmmmm?

I was glad to see Bethenny go, she was uninteresting and such a whiner. So far The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is the winning franchise for Bravo, New Jersey and Atlanta promote violence, Miami never seemed to get off the ground and DC was too focused on the Salahi’s who should be behind bars and the OC is just stale with Tammy Sue Waddle and Vicki Gunvalson’s middle-aged meltdowns.
Bravo needs to freshen up the cast with replacements for all of the women. Alex is pathetic, watching her children is unbearable but she doesn’t have a whole lot going on in Brooklyn. Jill is Jill, she isn’t going to change. Ramona needs to be in Betty Ford, Kelly needs a reality check and some sugar-free gummy bears, Luanne needs a muzzle DAHLING and Sonja needs to find another sugar-daddy quick. As for Cindy…….she can go back to waxing pubes.

Sorry to say that this show is now as boring as the DC Housewives was for me. I have deleted it from my DVR List. Bravo, wake up. I love the other Housewives shows but I think it’s time to cut your losses on this one. Why not try some new cities every 3 years or so instead of keeping the same old groups around every year. This might freshen up your franchise and be more interesting to the audience. How about a franchise in Texas, Arizona, Denver, Seattle?? Shake it up a bit instead of bringing back the same old same old. Now that I think of it, Orange County Houswives should be retired too.
I stopped watching long ago. Fake friendships,fake relationships,fake money,fake manners, & fake bodies all rolled up into big liars. Who needs this?
Each one is now a STAR. Each one believes that they are the only STAR of the show. No matter where they go they are introduced as the STAR of the NY Housewives Show. Really? Fake women who lie are now considered STARS? Wow.
Enough already. Who in their right mind would envy any of these women? They are shallow, mean and immature.
This mess should be canceled immediately.

Another storyline I can’t stand is the one involving Ramona, Howie and Jeff’s cigar. I really could care less about this. She seems so fake whenever she gets upset about that story.

Bethenny is sooo not missed.She did nothing but spew venum at all the ladies. Ever since she got herself knocked-up everyone had forgotten what a bit**. I have never heard Bethenny compliment anyone ever.

I agree with your analysis. I find this season to be the most boring one so far. I said once before that I thought that Sonja and Alex were acting a bit phony this season. As Kelly Ripa pointed out on WWHL, Sonja is jockeying for more screen time with her new snarky ways. This franchise no longer seems genuine. As for Jill, didn’t you just love how she announced that she wasn’t going to engage in gossip, etc. when she returned from Australia, yet she started dishing about Ramona while at the koala bear-tchotchke lunch with the ladies? Whatever… when these women aren’t total bores, they are just snarky to each other.
