Yes, Bethenny, you are just like your Mother. Just as most of us are, whether we see it or not.
Several weeks ago, I wrote Bethenny Talk to Your Mother, because I never felt they were that far apart in attitude or perspective, they just expressed their neuroses differently. Glad that fact was finally revealed to Bethenny.
In the interest of objectivity, I never once voted for Bethenny during her stint on Skating with the Stars. Johnny Weir, one of the judges, is a good friend of Jill Zarin, and for some reason he was edited out of the segment. The war rages on….
About that turkey; This episode was heavily edited. Julie Plake wasn’t even in New York on Thanksgiving Day.

If you read Julie’s Bravo blog, it looks as if she celebrated Thanksgiving with both families. She says, “The meal ended up being amazing. We had a great Thanksgiving dinner, and I am so glad that I could share it with my second family (I went home to Pittsburgh to my parents house to do Thanksgiving with them too, don’t worry!)”
Bethany cannot be on TC Masters – she isnt a real chef. The chef that appear on that show are world renowned chefs with long and impressive pedigrees. She didn’t even go to a real school – who ever heard of Natural Gourmet Culinary Institute? CIA it ain’t! The best she could hope for is to be the special celebrity guest for challenge on TC – a la Jimmy Fallon.
Getting her own show has done her no favors. I liked her on the NY HW. But i think being on that made her look good. In relation to Jill, Kelly, Ramona, et. al, she looked liked she was completely sane and rational. Now with her own show, surrounded by more “normal” people, her issues are on display and really magnified. She should have just stayed on the HW franchise and preserved her reputation. This show is tearing her down. Feel very bad for Jason.
First I was stunned (and outrageous as a mother) that Bethenny & Jason stood there as strangers made some unknown ritual baptism on their child-last night’s excuse by Gina she has to leave was not a surprise, it nice of producers to even allow that, she should have been GONE after that show. Second, Jason is being anniliated, belittled and emasculated by Bethenny. He’s ‘allowed’ to see his parents once a month-and puts up with that??? I think he’s increasingly upset by the entire situation but feels he’s in quicksand, loves Brynn and the fall out of divorcing this increasingly fragile woman is something he can’t deal with. The episode of her freaking at her 40th birthday party was either lousy acting or she needs more than 2 minutes of TV therapy. She is breaking down and taking her poor husband, colleagues and friends with her. She said it herself, she’s getting everything she ever wanted, all at once…so maybe Bethenny, its time to step back and reassess what to focus on. You wont find another man like Jason, you’re daughter is bright and beautiful, focus on the Skinny Girl empire and the TV show, otherwise you may find yourself with nothing.
I personally do NOT love Bethenny. I used to LIKE her, but that’s it. I didn’t watch last night’s episode, but I don’t watch her show, period. I tried the first episode but was bored and disgusted by Beth’s rude and demeaning behavior toward the people in her orbit and am very turned off by her increasinly self-indulgent, bratty behavior. She has become exactly the kind of person she would have made fun of a couple of years ago.
Two questions:
1. Why did Bethenny and Jason choose her assistant (employee) to be Bryn’s godmother? Why not Alex McCord or some other friend? Doesn’t she have any friends?
2. If Bethenny’s such a great chef, why isn’t she on Top Chef Masters?
Well I guess that explains why Johnny Weir was such a retched biotch – who knew! I personally love Bethenny and think that Jill is petty, jealous and relentlessly vindictive so I don’t really care how neurotic or crazy Bethenny gets because it’s better than Jill any day. Anyway, who hasn’t had some sort of melt down over the last month let alone the holidays. As far as her mom is concerned, she is not required to have a relationship with the woman. Some people are terrible parents and your better off without them in your lives.
