Strange decision from the gods producing the Real Housewives of Miami reunion. Why live? Maybe a reunion for this franchise was a last minute decision. The reunion, scheduled for April 5, will be the lead-in for the new series “Pregnant in Heels”
Will Elsa Patton make an appearance at the reunion? Perhaps. In the meantime, she and daughter Marysol are leaving this morning on a road trip to New York City, as Elsa refuses to fly. The mother/daughter duo will be guests on “Watch What Happens ,Live” with Andy Cohen Tuesday night.
Marysol tweeted:
Loading up for the road trip to NY. #hellonwheels
The story on BravoTV.com :
If you’ve ever wanted to see a Real Housewives reunion completely unfiltered without the comfort of an elaborate edit, you’re about to get your wish. When The Real Housewives of Miami reunite after their season finale, they’ll do it live with Andy Cohen on April 5. That’s right, Andy will ask viewers’ questions and get to the bottom of Cristy‘s party crashing live on the air (of course, there will be a seven-second delay… c’mon, we all saw the New Jersey reunion).

And the Real Housewives of Orange County’s Gretchen Rossi is hoping the ladies make room on the couch for Marysol’s mom, Elsa. “Marysol‘s mom is a hoot,” Gretchen tells the Los Angeles Times. “I met Marysol and even she was like, ‘I’ve never gone near plastic surgery because my mom scares the crap out of me.’”
Hey, Andy, you probably want to ask Marysol about that claim because Tamra Barney‘s not believing it. “Oh, come on. She’s had plastic surgery, I’m sorry,” Gretchen’s top frienemy says. “She’s a younger version of her mom. They both look ridiculous.” Harsh, T.
Tamra Barney, queen of the unsolicited attack.
In other Housewives news, there are serious rumors the Real Housewives of DC will not be renewed for a second season. Rumor only.
Watch What Happens

I cannot imagine how many redundant censors will have their fingers on bleep buttons for that.
But actually, it sounds lame. You always hear that these reunions go for 9, 10, 12 hours. And yet we see about 2-4 hours, tops. That says to me that there is A LOT of dead weight discussion time. The editing is needed to distill down to the actual interesting parts. Indeed, i think at some point here will be an edited version that would air. I also think that there will the first part only will air live (or maybe second), but that another part will be culled from a tape session. Nothing about these women (any of the franchises) is interesting without serious editing. I am sure there is waaaaay too much tat is BORING! Otherwise, it will be like the Survivor reunion. Too short and too much crap n one cares about.
