Dina Manzo of the Real Housewives of New Jersey is visiting Chicago to represent the charity she founded, Project Ladybug .She met members of the press, the local city council members, her Project Ladybug Chicago Chapter and, most importantly, little Atia, at the University of Chicago’s Comer Children’s Center.

Dina was warm, gracious and down to earth, speaking frankly about her organization and the work it does. Families with long term seriously ill children need so much support, and little Atia is no exception. A happy, talkative child, she faces another round of chemotherapy this Monday, according to her mother.
On a side note, Dina is tiny! Standing beside her, at 5’4 and 115 lbs. I felt like an Amazon.
The main event for the charity is tonight at Chicago’s Hyatt Regency downtown. She will also make the rounds of local television stations during the day.

I would have enjoyed seeing her speak. Are you going to the event tonight ?
Unfortunately I won’t be able to make it tonight. The people involved,and Dina Manzo, are friendly and down to earth, so I would have enjoyed the function.
Let us know if you can find out who actually benefits from PLB. No one really knows since she refuses to release any financial statement about her charity.
I had no interest in doing an investigative report. I was there for the meet and greet. All charities have administrative costs.
DUH, the children do! All monies go DIRECTLY to the PLB FUND to help the children at that particular location. What part of that don’t you get, and why are you remarking about “refusing to release any financial statement” when it is all about the kids? Kids, whom are happier and able to fight cancer with PLBs help.
Her financial records are completely legit and all the funds raised are going to Comer’s Childrens Hospital. No one refused anything… what a unmerited statement to make.
