Bethenny Frankel’s mother Bernadette Parisella Birk is spewing venom towards Bethenny about her appearance on the upcoming “Skating With the Stars” She thinks it’s all an effort to get back at Jill Zarin , like that’s hard to do.
Bernadette, 60, a part-time adjunct professor at Queens College in New York, hasn’t communicated with Bethenny in over 10 years. She has never met her granddaughter, Bryn Hoppy, born to Bethenny and husband Jason Hoppy last May.
Bernadette Burke, ( radar spelled her last name incorrectly) who hasn’t spoken to the star of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New York City and Bethenny Getting Married? in more than a decade, said her daughter’s slippery T V role was typical of the woman she raised — a desperate attempt to further her career.
“As soon as I saw Bethenny was skating,” says Burke. “I knew she had another reason than just having fun.”
While Frankel has tweeted about the rough skating rehearsals and jokingly lamented her choice to join the show, her mother’s quotes suggests Bethenny is hustling us.
“She is going to be a dead ringer out there,” she says. “Because she’s had so many private ice skating and roller skating lessons. She did it all the time when she was a child.”

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but, Donna, you need a spelling lesson. I don’t think a child grows up to absoloutely break down over a simple birthday celebration that badly without cause. From what I’ve seen, Bethenny seems to be a very honest person. Why would she publish lies about her childhood just to sell a book? Why would she embarrass herself. Her Mother sounds like a real winner and I tend to believe Bethenny just with listening to the therapy sessions she has on BEA. I’m happy for her success, her marriage, and her having a baby. Who are we to judge? At least she’s achieved her success on her own with extremely hard work. Not like Si-lex who road on everyone elses coat tails. Yes, sometimes her hummor is bitting but if you don’t like what she does, don’t watch.

It was ok when jill was paying for every thing when she didnot have much.so what if bethenny’s child talk’s about her when she grow’s up saying my mother was always working the camras and going out of town being a media whore.
Bethenny’s mother looks like a snake or an alien so its no wonder that shes spewing poison all around. No second chances for mothers who abuse their defenseless children and cause all kinds of hurt. I should know it was done to me and I had no place to run.

I’m sure she did her best she made sure that Bethenny had the best schools and elite crowd that you are not privy at all I’m sure. While I believe Bethenny’s mom is trying to make her look bad, all Bethenny has done is try to make people feel sorry for her by saying what a horrible mother she had. I don’t blame Bernadette for not being thrilled with that. We don’t really know her side of things, only what Bethenny has said in order to get people on her side. I like Bethenny but she has quite a mouth on her and it’s hard to believe that she wasn’t a difficult person for her mother to raise. As for Bethenny, of course she’s trying to keep her face in the public eye. She’s trying to make all of the money she can now because one day people won’t care about her anymore and won’t buy her stuff. Jill is trying to do the same but what she doesn’t seem to realize is that people ALREADY don’t care about her.
Bethenny is a great business woman. I doubt she gave any thought to Jill’s skating escapades when she signed on to do “Skating with the Stars.” The sun does not rise and set on Jill Zarin. I’m sure Bethenny sees “SWTS” as another opportunity to make money and become known to another demographic.
Mother is bitter and on Zarin’s payroll. What a bunch of losers.
Poor Bethenny. What kind of mother smears her own daughter. So sad. I think Jill is a terribly flawed person. Bethenny has always been a good person and I am so happy for her success.
So sad when a parent is that self-centered and cruel toward their children.
