Has anyone else noticed how Cat went from “villain” to sympathetic character during the filming of Season 1?
Part of the fallout from the White House Salahi debacle was felt by Cat Ommanney. Her invitation to last years’ White House Christmas Party was rescinded.
Update: Cat’s father went to the White House Christmas Party in her place. The question becomes who said Cat couldn’t attend? The White House or Charles?
The invitation was discussed on the last episode of the Real Housewives of DC between Cat and her then husband, Charles Ommanney.
Cat has also stated she will not return to the Real Housewives if the Salahi’s are part of the cast. Rumor has it the Salahi’s have been fired.
They both made me sick,” Ommanney said in an interview. “I’m just very pleased to be able to finish Real Housewives and be able to keep my sanity. I find them insufferable.” Ommanney’s hatred of the Salahis turned to something worse when she was uninvited to a White House Christmas party last December, due to her association with them.

In tonight’s finale, she gets the last word.
“It’s a great final episode. I think a lot needed to be said, and I certainly don’t hold back in what I say to the Salahis because they’ve affected my life in many ways. Mostly by disappointment with them choosing to go to that State dinner, which meant that I was uninvited to the White House Christmas party. That was going to be the highlight of my year. I had moved to America to support my husband’s career and the new administration, and being uninvited because of my association with them and the show obviously didn’t leave me very impressed.” Parade.com

Oh for Pete’s sake. She was uninvited because she felt the need for fame and joined a “housewife show.” But of course she had to blame it on someone else.

Cat was univited likely b/c her husband didn’t want her around at that point. I find it interesting that she felt “Obama went down a few points in my estimation” — but now she’s destroyed at not getting to meet him? Clearly it’s an excuse for more vitriol and hatred towards the Salahis.
Is anything ever this woman’s fault — she lives her life as though it’s a spectator sport — where people lob daggers her way without provocation???
The Salahis are actually quite delusional but trust–they are NOT the only ones!

Cat speaks too quickly and could learn to listen better – this was off-putting at first. However, she grew on me due to her honesty and transparency. Also, she is never two faced. What you see is what you get.
In contrast, Michaele Salahi turned out to be so deceptive. The white limo with driver and the Four Seasons — all fake posing as they apparently have no income. She crashed the Black Caucus dinner (eyewitness account we saw by hairdresser Jason), faked being a Redskins cheerleader, and then she wants us to believe she was invited to the White House. Ultimately she’s faked out her own arrogant self, because she’s lost all credibility. Despite the interminable I Love Yous, it may be that her favorite charity and greatest love is herself. Have she or Tareq ever really given any money they raised to charity?
I hope she doesn’t return to the show. I’m not watching it if she does. Cat is rude and boastful yet runs away and/or cries when called out on her behavior. What the hell has she achieved in life except break up marriages and mess around with a drunk prince? She’s no better than the Salahis.
Yeah, anyone who works on a Bravo show is not welcomed in polite society. Lady, you work with people who are legends in their own minds.Besides, Cat didn’t appear to be “supporting this administration” while comparing Obama to Dubya Bush (and finding Dubya superior). Such a short memory.
I absolutely believe she was uninvited because of the Salahis. That may be because the powers-that-be believed Bravo or its production company was involved in the Salahi incident (after all, they obviously knew there was no formal invitation), and/or because they didn’t want the negative publicity which would undoubtedly come when the press found out another Housewife had been invited to the White House, especially so soon after the Salahi incident.
Either way, no matter how I view the situation, the withdrawal of Cat’s invitation would not have happened if not for her association through the show with the Salahis. The sense of embarrassment and humiliation in having a White House invitation rescinded (especially given her husband’s position) is no doubt overwhelming, and I don’t blame Cat one bit for being furious.

Please she was uninvited because she was on the show not because of the Salahi’s. The White House didn’t want to have another camera crew from a reality show at there event, especially after what had already had occured. That’s all nothing more nothing less. As for Catherine O she is a disgrace of a human being, rude and ignorant. She come to this country to make a living on a TV show and all she does is insult everything about this country.
It would seem being touched by the Salahi’s has a very negative effect on one’s life. Your invite is rescinded because you work on a reality show with them? I understand this happening though. Lisa Bloom, if this doesn’t prove they are THE White House party crashers, I don’t know what does. Nasty Salahi’s.
