With the announcement on FOX News, The Real Housewives of DC has become “The Michaele Salahi Show”. Is the histronics filled announcement another Salahi hoax?
E
Every media outlet exploded with the “breaking news” of Michaele Salahi and her 17 year battle with MS. Why reveal this now? To sell this book, of course, and to get sympathy from the viewing audience. But most of all, to tell the world Tareq and Michaele Salahi left the White House before dinner because Michaele suffered a bout of vertigo, not that they were uninvited. Do they really think everyone is stupid enough to believe that? Yes.
In the meantime, I seriously doubt her story. The Salahi’s lie so much, I’d need to see a doctors note, quite frankly. And the doctor needs a lie detector test.
I’m not the only one doubting her story:
Tim Gunn Doubts Michaele’s MS Story
Also, being too thin is not an MS symptom. From the Mayo Clinic:
While many people become disabled from MS, early stages of multiple sclerosis can be well hidden (or easily fabricated) and include (via MayoClinic.com):
- Numbness or weakness in one or more limbs, which typically occurs on one side of your body at a time or the bottom half of your body
- Partial or complete loss of vision, usually in one eye at a time, often with pain during eye movement (optic neuritis)
- Double vision or blurring of vision
- Tingling or pain in parts of your body
- Electric-shock sensations that occur with certain head movements
- Tremor, lack of coordination or unsteady gait
- Fatigue
- Dizziness
In related news, Bravo found out about the MS the same time we did:
Cameron Blanchard, senior vp communications for Bravo and Oxygen networks, told The TV Column Wednesday morning “Michaele did not inform Bravo or Bravo’s production company before or during production that she has MS.”
Bravo has no plans to go into the remaining episodes of the first season to make any changes based on the Salahi’s announcement on FNC, Blanchard added.
Asked whether Michaele’s announcement would have any impact on a possible second season of the show, Blanchard responded, “We are focused on this season, which still has several episodes to go. We don’t make decisions about a season 2 on a series until its freshman cycle is completed.”
What was Diane Dimond ‘Entertainment Tonight’ reporter and author of “Cirque du Salahi” thinking? Will this hurt her reputation as a journalist? Did she believe what she was told? Or did she just want publicity also? Who will buy the book, released at the time of the announcement?
Watch What Happens

Michaele Salahi picked the wrong disease to fabricate. It is humanly impossible to have MS for over 15 years and be as healthy, active etc as this woman.I know the disease all too well and she would have no choice but to rely on a cane for balance at this stage. BTW, she is so excited about Botox,Breast Implants etc. You could not undergo such surgeries with longterm Neurological Impairment. She certainly suffers from a mental illness and should be treated and off any reality show.
The scary thing is Americans are that stupid. If a country can turn idiots like Jon and Kate into celebrities, we would believe anything.
You don’t prance around in 6 inch heels if you suffer from MS. You don’t leap and jump around like a cheerleader with MS. None of those symptoms would invite wearing shoes that even in normal instances would cause one to lose their balance.
She is making this stuff up.
That’s the problem with liars, they have no credibility. They fabricate things to ensure maximum press, not caring how they come off and the onslaught of proof of their lies that inevitably shows up in their wake is astounding. Yet none of this seems to bothers them, because they move on as though everyone believed them. It’s a strange level of denial they have, but it shows a lack of empathy for those who do suffer from a painful incurable fatal disease, not that they would care. I guess for me that’s what bothers me most is they have no sense of guilt for ripping people off and lie and deny with the utmost ease. This show is going to make it very hard for them to take advantage of other groups, and individuals no matter what fake business cards Tereq prints up. They wanted fame and they got it, but it will make scamming so much harder. Please don’t let them come back Bravo. Hahha!
Oh this is a load of……you know what!! She has had MS for 17 years?? and she looks/walks/talks this good? yea…….I don’t buy it…..
Stand by for the next big announcement: Michaele Salahi dying of cancer as the Salahi movie released.
Why should anyone believe this when they have fabricated so many things in order to gain attention?
It’s just like the lie about Lolly Amons, these people are sociopaths. Thanks for your input.
i’ll bite: because she just thought of it?
Someone posted info about her old, defunct charity and said that the promo for that charity (for children’s diseases) publicized the fact that she had MS since she was a kid, so this is not a new revelation, just something to sell her book. The charity is under investigation for giving next to nothing to actual charity.
Secondly, MS doesn’t cause weight loss, and she doesn’t seem to have any symptoms, either. I’ve chatted with many MS patients, and they often have the opposite problem, of weight gain. It is possible that muscle spasms burn more calories than a healthy person, but not to the point of anorexia type thinness. I hope she doesn’t have to give herself daily injections into that skin and bones frame of hers.
Everything she and her partner in crime do is self serving, with no empathy for others. Nothing she or he can say will redeem them at this point.
So are we supposed to feel sorry for her? MS does not make you thin. In fact I have noticed MS patients to often times go the other way because their energy and mobility are decreased and they tend to gain weight.
This is nothing more than the boy who cried wolf. How can she believed? All one has to do is look at their dubious charity dealings. Salahi recently turned her dress over to an auction house for which 80% were to be donated to charity (20% in the Salahis’ pocket). Which charity? An MS charity? No, the proceeds are to go to Haiti. Their now defunct charity, Journey to the Cure, was described as benefiting multiple children charities. MS is an adult disease. The Journey for the Cure Foundation reported taking in $19,098.91 in donations in 2008, but disbursing just $690 to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and $20 to the U.S. Navy Memorial Fund. If you had MS wouldn’t you be making all your charitable donations toward MS? If you are a well known as a philanthropist wouldn’t you be known as championing MS causes? If you had MS and became famous wouldn’t you use your celebrity to bring awareness? Why would you hide it for 17 years?
I do not need to read Diane Diamonds book because I know there is no proof in there that they didn’t crash the White House. When Salahi grows up, stops lying, and acts responsible maybe she will be deserving of empathy

I knew you would comment, Sam. No, we don’t feel sorry for her and the Diane Dimond book will have no credibility. IMO
