Kelly Bensimon, the psycho gummy bear eating twit of the New York crew, weighed in on Bethenny’s departure:
Yesterday afternoon, Bethenny Frankel, 39, announced that she wouldn’t be returning to Bravo’s Real Housewives of New York after three seasons. Eventually, the news got to her ultimate enemy, THE Kelly Bensimon. And in true Kelly fashion, she had a little message for Bethenny:
“Congratulations? I wish you well?”
Ah, I love a good passive aggressive question mark at the end of a statement.
Bethenny Frankel Quits The Real Housewives of New York
Kelly, 42, who fought with Bethenny all season long, has been rumored to be leaving the show/only working part-time. She cleared up those rumors, saying:
“I was just asked to come back and we haven’t negotiated everything yet,” she clarified. “But I can answer honestly I would either come back or I wouldn’t come back — we don’t do part-time.”
So Kelly doesn’t do part time, or Bravo doesn’t do part time? I’ve gotta admit, I was hoping for a snarky comment from good ol’ Bensimon. Now that Bethenny has some time to spare, maybe she can take a trip back to Scary Island.

Imagine how happy Jill Zarin must be! Only one problem: they don’t have much of a show without Bethenny. She was the heart and soul of that show. Imagine “Sex in the City” without Sarah Jessica Parker. Why? Because Bethenny was the only truly honest one. Alex and Simon were all about the social climbing, Ramona has an occasional burst of batshit crazy, but not enough to carry the show, Jill Zarin is too full of jealousy, malice and hate to be interesting, a true ratings killer, and her family is downright annoying. Kelly Bensimon is too psychotic to be on any show, she should be put away without benefit of keys. That leaves Sonja Morgan to liven things up. Don’t know if she can pull it off. Oh, and LuAnn de Lesseps, so unimportant I forgot her.
Be careful what you wish for, ladies….

Well, I won’t be watching it with no Bethenny and I bet I’m not the only one, and I’m not a Kelly hater or a Jill hater or any of that. The rest of the women just bored the living crap out of me. Bethenny was the only one doing or saying anything funny or interesting. I loved Bethenny’s getting married and would watch anything she did again in a minute, even if she does have her crass moments. At least it’s not the same old same old. Oh well, so much for any of Bravo;s silly housewives now that the only one worth watching is gone. I’ll read a good book during all those empty hours.
Bethenny was the spark of the show, she served as the Greek Chorus, and was funny and snarky. Jill is just nasty, Kelly is honestly mentally ill, and she makes viewing very uncomfortable because her understanding of social interactions are like a trip to the twilight zone – she can’t grasp reality – has no sense of humor and half the time makes no sense at all. To work they will have to get another Bethenny, otherwise zzzzzzzz.
The original “Housewives” — OC– has had several cast changes over the years. I say scrap all of NY except Sonja and Alex w/ Simon. Everyone else is either psycho jealous(Jill) or psycho psycho(Kelly). Bethenny rawks sooooooo glad she has her own show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Last season was insane. You could kinda tell that Bethenny was a “short timer” who had her own show waiting in the wings for her. With her show becoming such a hit, why would she want to throw herself into the swarmy cesspool of negativity that is RHONY? Yeah, until last season Jill Zarin was like the Mama Dog of the group. I don’t know if she was off her meds or perhaps was always pretending to be nice until last season when all the gloves were off. Jill became a completely unlikeable human being. Then came Amazongate and all that rot that showed how nasty Jill became after the taste of a little fame. (I’m a poet and didn’t know it.) I can’t stand to see her toothy grin at this point much less hear that foghorn voice. Ugh! Alex grew a personality finally — probably out of fear she’d be dropped from the show if she didn’t. I liked her a lot. Kelly was somebody I did not like from her first appearance on the show. But after her behavior last season, I no longer hate her….I pity her. There is no doubt in my mind that she is in denial about her need for professional help. What fun is it watching someone have a nervous breakdown? LuAnne? Even if she became a stripper and had a sex tape, I wouldn’t find her interesting. But Sonja! I love her, I love her wit, I love her charm, I love her breakaway clothes, I love that she’s an unapologetic slut and still there is an element of class in her. With some help from Bravo’s producers Sonja could become the #1 NY housewife since she has the foundation of a personality that the fans could embrace. And then Bravo would completely ruin her life……yeah, that’s about right.

I like Bethenny, but I do wonder where all of this new found “Bethenny love” in the media is coming from lately. It seemed like people used to love her or hate her, and she did get made fun of alot for her harsh jawline and endless biting remarks. She is funny and I agree with her about alot of things, but she can be too much at times. And even during her own show, I found her to be weepy and annoying too many times. I think Bethenny is trying to make all of the money she can right now and squeeze every last drop out of this Skinny Girl/Bethenny Married crap she hawks because a little Bethenny goes a long way, and sooner or later, the public will get sick of her. I like her, and even I’m sick of her.
Good move on Bethenny’s part. Her show was fun to watch, unlike the housewives show. They’re just getting more painful by the minute. They were much more interesting before all the drama. I’ve decided to stop wasting time on shows that don’t make me feel good.
Glad Bethenny won’t return to the housewives. The last season was ridiculous and clearly, she’s the only one worth watching. Although, Alex became more likable to me…wasn’t too fond of her at first. I loved watching Bethenny Getting Married and can’t wait for the 2nd season!
I’m sorry it’s B.S. to say that Bethenny was the heart and soul of that show. Jill was the heart and soul of the show until season 3. However the NYC girls are not like Jersey. They all can hold their own.
I think they will do fine without Bethenny.. All she did was cry most of the time last season.. I thought she was funnier in past seasons..
