Sources say Danielle Staub was fired by Bravo before the reunion was taped. To create even more drama? Probably. The story of her firing started circulating a week ago, gaining momentum as the week wore on.
More details: Tom Staub, Danielle’s ex-husband and father of Jillian and Christine, has filed for primary custody of Jillian, which, if he is successful, means he can keep Jillian off the show. Complicating matters further is the other former husband, Kevin Maher, working with Daniel Aguilar, the coke dealer/kidnapping ex-con bringing a lawsuit against Danielle for lying under oath 25 years ago.

When the feuding stars got together for the upcoming reunion, things got heated right away between Danielle Staub and Teresa Giudice, a source tells PEOPLE.
At one point host Andy Cohen and the ladies’ costar Caroline Manzo had to intervene when Teresa got up out of her chair and started for Danielle, who was sitting across the room.
“You could feel the tension,” the source says of the mood at the taping. “They were ready to go and they were ready to put it all out on the table.”
And they did, according to the source, who described the early drama as “tame” compared to what happened later in the show.
“This might be the best reunion we’ve ever done,” Cohen tells PEOPLE. “You won’t believe how it starts and you won’t believe how it ends.”
Another interesting note: There has been absolute Twitter silence about this from all of them, including wild child Ashley Holmes, Jacqueline Laurita’s daughter, known for blowing her wad at any mention of Danielle’s name. Odd
The reunion show will air in two parts, August 30 and Sept. 6, on Bravo.

Yeah, yeah. Every reunion is the best ever. Not. These women are as slippery as a soap plot. I don’t believe any of it anymore. For one thing, Danielle is a terrible actor. For another, she’s playing the same scene for the hundredth time.
Then there’s Teresa and the Tourettes–don’t they have some law in the U.S. or Italy about children being wardrobe abused? No fashion police to grab those kids before they’re ruined for life? I can see it now: Britney Spears, the next generation.
And Caroline: do you really talk to people like that? While I totally agree with you that Danielle acts trashy, who says that to someone’s face? Much less, invites her to lunch for the delivery? No wonder Ashley acts like a misguided missile. Are y’all all missing an internal edit button?
