Oh yes! There’s an anti-Salahi Facebook page, with this anonymous “ode” to the White House Party Crashers
BALLAD OF THE SALAHIS
2007-2010
Subtitle: Scammin’
[To be read to the cadence, if not the BACKGROUND music, of Bob Marley’s “Jammin”]
Unabridged version
I’m not fond of yelling,
So in rhyme I am telling,
A story for you to read from me.
It’s a sad story, my friends,
Which [unfortunately] has yet to end,
About a couple of some minor infamy.
You might have heard of them in the past,
When it was the White House they ‘crashed’,
Which brought them much publicity.
Their name is Salahi.
She pranced about in a Sari,
With no apparent humility.
But that’s not the first time this couple,
Created some trouble,
Which led to public scrutiny.
She and her hubby always say,
“It’s polo we play!”,
While their creditors remain unpaid.
And, don’t you know, that just doesn’t seem right to me.
In 2007,
They said, “Our Polo Cup will be heaven.”
“We just need some tax dollars to play with.”
“We’ll have the royal family”,
“It’ll be just dandy!”
Looking back, it was their own well-spun myth.
The Queen didn’t appear,
And the food and beer,
Seemed lacking all the day.
Lawsuits from vendors,
Were filed with much candor.
Gosh, why didn’t vendors get paid?
But they don’t fear lawsuits,
Hey, do they really give a hoot?
They remain replete in their splendor unfazed.—With apologies to the late Bob Marley
What can I say? Here’s the link to a very long song

Does that mean we are stars?
Thanks for the edit! It will be interesting to see how the actual “event” plays out on Bravo. Whatever the true outcome – I plead the 5th!! – These people will be held up on their wobbly platform in the court of public opinion. As long as all of us schmucks keep ‘watching what happens’ then Bravo will keep F-ing us with psuedo-reality.
cleveland girl:
Your comment is certainly understandable.
But, believe me, it is all true, the unpaid vendors, the bad checks, the scheming and grifting this couple has spread through multiple jurisdictions over the years.
It can all be verified through Court records, etc.
The problem is, except in the local DC area press, this scourge of deceit has not received the attention it deserves, and BravoTV seems to want the American public to believe these people are rich socialites. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Why aren’t they in jail? That’s my question as well. But just wait awhile. The wheels of justice do churn rather slowly.
AJax: I understand your comment. You are correct. Who really wants to read a couple page rhyme?
But, people who are otherwise unknowing of the scourge of bad debts and scheming left by the Salahis throughout multiple jurisdictions over years just might take the time to read something in rhyme as opposed to a multiple page narrative.
And for anyone who might be tempted to believe these people are some sort of rich ‘socialiates’, as Bravo appears to want viewers believe, the “ode” lays bare the true nature of their pathetic delusional lifestyles at the substantial expense of others.
I have edited that poem.
There’s no way in hell that I’m making it all the way through this ‘ode’ in jamaica-rhythmed iambic pentameter. It’s entirely too long, and written by someone with entirely too much of a devils plaything happening. I’m really surprised that no one has commented on these DC biatches. Not even any comments from the ‘wasted-taxpayer-moolah’ crowd which is obviously the whole point…
Socialites?
Parasites sounds more like it.
Seems like Bravo has another Teresa and Joe in this couple. I’m really not looking forward to giving them the attention they crave by watching the DC show.
If all of this is true, then why aren’t they in jail?? This seems a little contrived.
