Andy Cohen, in his role as a Senior VP at Bravo, shares insight into the decision to include Michaele and Tareq Salahi in this New York Times article.
The flap over the Salahis, which took place near the end of production, complicated matters. Suddenly, Bravo had evidence that could be relevant to a criminal investigation. Ms. Greensfelder and Andy Cohen, a senior vice president at Bravo, declined to say whether they turned over any videotape. But they say they have “cooperated fully” with authorities. Mr. Cohen, who refers to the party crashing as “that incident in November,” said Bravo actually contemplated killing the show.
“It was either going to be, we kill the show altogether or we do it with Michaele,” Mr. Cohen said. “Her story from the beginning is so intertwined with the other five that it would not have been possible to cut her.”
And the escapade brought Bravo the kind of hype money can’t buy. As Sally Quinn, the grande dame of Washington’s politico-journo elite, said, “I think it would have died without the Salahis.”
While I’ve shamelessly enjoyed the housewives franchises in the past, this year seems to be not just pushing the envelope exploiting narcissism and mental health (i.e. RHWNY & NJ), which REALLY had me wondering if I’M the sick one wanting to watch this stuff… but now, giving the Salahi’s an additional 15 mins of fame after they pulled such a stunt at the White House? What? Does Bravo really not take issue with that? Our National Security? You really have to air it because you filmed it? They should have done the right thing and scrapped the project. Now they just look discusting after all they’ve exploited this year. Duty to the country means nothing to them…duty to ratings=everything. ehkkk, I could just spit.
We’ll I’m tired of being “dirty” and I won’t be watching, and I’m done with the housewives.

LMAO. I have pre-formed opinions about these two. I think of them as baby wipes.lmao. Knowing me though I will watch and like the hell out of these buffoons because of their stupid antics and their itch to want to be on TV.LOL. I like my BRAVO entertainment raw nasty and unorthodox.LOL. My money is on this is the couple to despise. LOL.
