This is not the second eviction in May, this is the one caught on tape by Bravo, the night after the Curtins’ dinner party, in late August.
The girls in San Francisco. Brianna Wolfsmith,Vicki’s daughter, who has her own drama this week, is on the left.
Lynne says, “I’m your wife. You just, you need to tell me what’s going on.”
Frank responds, “You don’t want to hear the truth. You live in this, like, little microcosm that’s not even real.”
We assume the new episode will start with a flashback of the Curtin eviction notice saga. Raquel and Alexa Curtin are home alone when a stranger serves the eviction notice. We know Lynne and Frank are going to have a tense, serious talk about it, so let’s just launch into that.
We see panoramic scenes of lovely Laguna Beach. Frank is sitting outside in a quaint, little park. He’s got his sunglasses on, and he’s looking dejected.
Lynne approaches. “Hey,” she says.
Frank responds, “What’s going on?”
Lynne says, “You tell me. You know, what in the (expletive)? What the hell is going on? You know I’m really pissed right now. I’m really pissed.”
She continues, “The girls are at home; they’re sitting there watching TV. They get the knock on the door and it’s like, somebody throwing papers at ‘em that we’re evicted. How do you think our daughters feel right now? Both of them? They’re like stressed out. Why is this happening to us?”
Frank: “There’s a few things that I didn’t explain. There’s other issues. You know, there’s other monies that I owed that I wasn’t able to pay on time.”
Lynne: “For what? You told me that the reason why we got that place …”
Frank: “You won’t let me speak.”
Lynne: “I know. I just wanna … I’m sorry. OK, go ahead.”
Frank: “There was a deposit that was owed that I wasn’t able to pay on time.”
Frank in a one-on-one interview: “I was really tight on money when I moved into the Laguna Beach house. I concealed it from basically everyone.” Hmm, not a good move, Frank.
Lynne: “You told me there was no deposit, and that was …”
Frank: “Wait a second. I asked you to … can you hold on for a second?”
Lynne: “You said there’s no deposit, and that’s why this place is great.”
Lynne: “I’ve been out of the loop. I haven’t been feeling good. I had this surgery and everything. I left it to you to do this, and you just …” Just messed up royally, that’s what she wanted to say.
Frank: “The truth is, is that we need to cut back on our spending. We need to get real. We need to get into a place that we can, that actually we don’t even feel(?) every month. And we need to be saving up …”
Lynne: “You’re the one that …”
Frank: “Stop cutting me off. We need to get together and be on the same page. And we need to start saving our money.”
Lynne: “I’m not going to be a victim. You’re not going to victimize me. I’m going to be strong,” she says weakly.
Frank: “I’m not trying to victimize you.”
Lynne: “I’m your wife. You just, you need to tell me what’s going on. I thought we were partners and you totally don’t even care about me.”
Frank: “That’s not true.”
Lynne: “It’s like I feel like I’m stupid. I feel like I can’t handle it.” Well maybe you can’t, Lynne!
Frank: “You live in this, like, little microcosm, and it’s not even real. You don’t know what’s going on. In 20 years, I’ve never turned my back on you and those girls. I’ve been a goddamn good father. And I don’t deserve that kind of bull(expletive).”
Lynne: “All I ask is you be honest with me, Frank. I just don’t want to be lied to and kept in the dark. I can handle the truth.”
Frank: “That’s bull(expletive). You don’t want to hear the truth.”
Lynne is quiet. Wow, dra-ma! Little does Lynne know at this point that this will merely be her third eviction . The Curtins got a FOURTH eviction notice in October, after this scene was shot.
So far, the Curtins have managed to stay in the fourth home they were to be evicted from.
