Lynne Curtin Flunked Out of the Caroline Manzo School of Parenting

Actually, it’s oxymoronic to compare Lynne Curtin to Caroline Manzo, since all they have in common is age.   Common sense ain’t common, and it’s on a respirator in the Curtin household.

I never write about “Real Kids” under 18, which is why you see no mention of them on my websites. But the powers the be at Bravo are throwing Alexi Curtin in our faces …….and under the bus.

I just don’t understand why the Curtin’s thought they could be friends with their children.  When they grow up and are out of your pocket, sure, not before.   Alexa’s and Raquel’s problem began long before we met them…they were getting away with stuff for years.

Which does not excuse Alexi from calling her mother a bitch. She seems a little smarter than Raquel ( or Lynne and Frank, for that matter) so she knew what kind of trouble they were in financially, and she couldn’t play it off like the others.  To have all your shit air on national TV, at 17.  Poor kid.

    Alexa wants her parents to get tough and actually punish her when she acts like a brat. But, she doesn’t want to hear their concerns about her safety and resents any the rules they want her to follow because she says they didn’t do it with her sister. So, she is saying too different things. Punish me, but wait, you didn’t punish my sister, so you have no right to punish me, it isn’t fair. You make me feel like such a bad guy. Waaa Waaa Waaa!

    Lynne and Frank need to make a decision. They can continue as before or tell Alexia we are turning over a new leaf as parents. We are sorry we let Raquel do as she wanted, but Raquel was our training wheels as parents and we learned a lot.

    From now on we are going to do as you (Alexia) want. You will be grounded, you will have your phone and any other device taken away when you call us names and do as you damn well please. We will spend the time to keep close tabs on where you go and who you are with, actually talk to the parents of the other kids you hang with. We have already explained we messed up with Raquel and we are not going to do the same with you so don’t whine about it.

    I have a feeling Alexia will not be so happy about this. She talks a good game, but if were to become a reality she will pull the “poor me” card and “it’s not fair” and fight her parents tooth and nail, call them names and through as much guilt at them as she can.

    Having said all this, Lynne and Frank have been way too lenient with these girls and at this late in the game, it will be a very difficult problem to solve, if it is solvable. But, they need to keep trying. The worst thing they can do is continuing what they have been doing or give up.

    No way in hell would I ever speak to my parents like Alexa did to Lynne. Lynne needs to stop being such a mealy mouse mother!

    Oh boo hoo for the Curtin kids. They get away w/murder. If I spoke to my mother the way they do & disobey, do whatever they want, I would’ve had every phone, computer, etc taken away. They are so lucky to live the lives they have. Their parents will get back on their feet. There are so many kids that don’t get cars, clothes, cell phones or live even a quarter life of these kids. They know right from wrong. They sit on camera laughing behind their parents back. I can’t stand bratty kids & parents that refuse to do the most important job they’ll ever have, being a parent.
