Jill Zarin’s garishly decorated condo is for sale.

To us, the stars of the recently concluded season of Real Housewives of New York City weren’t the housewives, but rather, the two gut renovations that took up a heck of a lot of screen time. The makeover of Simon van Kempen’s and Alex McCord’s Cobble Hill townhouse generated a lot of chatter (at least in our regular Real Housewives screening parties—whoops, embarrassing disclosure!), but the winner in terms of sheer over-the-topness was the chandeliers-and-sea-greens transformation Jill Zarin and her clingy decorator sidekick put her Sutton Placeish condo through. What would happen if the Zarins ever decided to sell such an individually-tailored, er, masterpiece? We’re about to find out!
Page Six reports that the 3BR, 3.5BA “famously over-decorated” condo has hit the market for $3.2 million, or just over $1,600 per square foot. This may seem like a curious time to list a multi-million-dollar apartment, but maybe Zarin realizes that while the market is low, her fame is at an all-time high. “Reality Housewife’s elegant home hits the market,” the not-so-subtle listing begins, before plugging the family’s LES shop Zarin Fabrics in the next sentence. The apartment is on the 30th floor of Bridge Tower Place at 401 East 60th Street, right near the Queensborough Brgide. There’s a lot of competition in the building, but once buyers check out the absolutely staggering before-and-after photo essay in Traditional Home, how will they resist?

[...] By the way, Jill did take Bethenny’s advice and get a hobby…….dissing Bethenny as much as possible all over the internet! Ramona was absolutely right last season with her “underdog” comment to Bethenny. Ramona and Mario must have more money than Jill and Bobby, that’s why she hates Ramona. Jill is a mean-spirited, craven bitch. And where is that “fabulous circle of people” she claims to have? Talk about faking it! Turns out she sold the house in the Hamptons several years ago, and only rented it for show during filming! How ‘bout that for faking it! Don’t know if her garishly decorated condo has been sold, but it’s off the market. [...]
