Dina Manzo and Bethenny Frankel Have “Words”

I seldom visit the Bravo website, but I wondered if Dina Manzo had anything to say about the finale episode:

One word…mortified.

‘I may be a bitch at times…I own that. A LIAR I AM NOT. After the reunion show I will post the truth. Let me just make it clear I was NEVER trying to deny the fact that I had something to do with the book. As you could see very clearly in past episodes, I talk about the book and admit discussing it with friends and family. Who the hell wouldn’t? I was trying to tell Danielle at the dinner that I never showed it around town, which I NEVER did. How could you show something that you NEVER had possession of? We will discuss this after next week.

All I have to say is of all the things I try to instill in my daughter, NEVER LYING is way up there on my list. You could ask her…I always say if you make a mistake, own it. Don’t ever lie, the truth always comes out in the end. I despise liars and think it is one of the most unflattering traits a person could possess. Enough said.

And Bethenny – there are other things in life than promoting a business. If you “paid attention” (Teresa’s favorite words…LOL) you would realize that I have a foundation for sick children to promote. Sometimes it’s not always about making money. Maybe you should make a donation with some of your SkinnyGirl money to Project Ladybug as an apology. Again, enough said. : )’

So I had to read Bethenny Frankel’s blog to see what this was about. Here is an excerpt:

‘Luckily in on my Midwest book tour for Naturally Thin, so I think I’m safe here. The Mall of the Americas should be a mob scene in and of itself.’

This is her snark (ha,ha) on the fact that The Real Housewives of New Jersey can’t stand her.

“What is so interesting is that this family has signed on for a reality show to divide them. No one is using this show as any sort of platform other than to be notorious. Maybe the event space will do well now. Dina, in fact, wants to retire, and spend quality time with her daughter. On camera? So now she literally is on the show just to be on television and for that fleeting glimpse of fame.

Truth be told, this cast is the only group that really are housewives. For the most part, they keep a family and a house. They’ve earned and kept the title intact.”

Most of the women work. Even Lauri Waring had a job on the first season of the Real Housewives of Orange County.  The interaction with the home and family plus work life, or minus work life, is what attracted most viewers to the franchise, IMO. Not “how to win the branding war”.  This ain’t “The Apprentice.”  But still, can’t help but love her.
